The Story
For more than five years I’ve been participating in Latvian ballet life, as a small role part-time actor, looking for characters, talents and hidden gems on the stage.
Ballet is the most exciting, inspiring, self-controlled and more than just hard art-sports, if i can call it so, from all you could meet in both sports and arts. It is not about dance, gravity, beauty or physical power, it is about character and people behind the curtain. There were a lot of questions about dancers, their choices and life, therefore…
The knwoledge or vision I’ve got on the stage, literally change my perception of the life, what I see and what I interpret. Best way to describe it – to show it. That is why we started to roll a video film project – Film 11, about 11 artists I met during my life behind the curtain, as most of all i want to tell the story of the hidden gems.
Above all are emotions
Interviews
In order to make a movie, you need a script, so in order ot reflect inner world of the artists we started with interviews.
Selecting, talking one-by-one we started to gather information about artists, at the beginning you make a draft notes for aims, vision, intelligenct, but when it came to personallity, YOu understand that these interviews cant be hidden, you got to film it and share it, as this material must be posted.
That is how we stated separated project with ballet-stars interviews. I wish we could film and share them all.
After all, millions of pictures captured, and some promo videos are made.
